I was wandering for a nice thread to share w u all but nothing popped up my mind so i just decided to post this :
I quited smoking 65 days now after 12 years of 40cigarette/day routine..I've never tried to quit it before, i didnt WANT to quit it till someday i realized that smoking is nice but when u think it over its a stupid habit. So i decided that i didnt wanna be stupid anymore and havent smoked since. What i really want to share w u is that its not so difficult as i thought. I always thought smoking quiters were a kind o gods in my eyes but theyre not . Im not one of those iron will peeps but still it wasnt tough. So i encourage all u who have never tried to quit just try it if ya want and i think ull be impressed by urself.

MIND OVER MATTER.....

i quit smoking about 20 yrs ago,

Back then I kept my last packet and would look at the cigs in the packet and say; "you are NOT stronger then ME....you will NOT win!!"

I NEVER smoked since....

but i still remind myself that I am Stronger!!

GOOD LUCK to you all, rest assured that your will is MUCH STRONGER then TABACCO!!

Just think about this...if you have a cigy on a table its NOT going to jump into your mouth!! rolling on the floor laughing you have to go for it

stratis - congratulations...........I don't believe it takes willpower (I have amazing willpower but smoke like you once did), but it takes the desire to quit.....once you nolonger wish to smoke (as you did) I believe it's easy.

Your post has helped me. You've helped me know that I can quit without any big deal if only I really want to! Thanks!

No to tbh i dont use anything like gums or stickers for nicotine and such...i do have a "koboloi" on my hand all the time though which is some bounded to each other light marbles which u swing ti, keeping ur hand occupied (well the explaining of what koboloi is , is VERY unfortunate im afraid but i dont know a better way to explain it to u :pp ). Also when i drive i have a big bottle of water w me so i keep my mouth occupied :) i guess thats all the pre emptive actions for me at least ...

Stopped back in '94 when i had to rush to Hospital with Herattrouble.
Doctors attributed it to my smoking up to 60 Cigs a Day.
So I quit.
Just a Day at a Time.
Not giving it anymore thought.
It's not THAT easy,but it is Doable.
