"Controlling ones feelings" ... what does that actually mean? I think feelings are uncontrollable because it is something inside one, a reaction to something done or said, that affects one, whether you show it on the outside or not?

However, the showing of ones feelings ..... we all react differently. I discovered that the more intensely hurt I got the more I laughed and hid my true feelings of anger/disappointment/regret/whatever. (someone pointed this out to me - and only then did I recognise what I was doing). By not voicing my true feelings I was inclined to suffer from subliminal nervous problems. Facing my feelings honestly and acting on them in a more positive way .... Well, I guess now the other person gets subliminal nervous problems?

Yes, there is no escaping .... none of us is gonna get out of here alive!.. Bastard old shit or not.

Sometimes the bastard old shit only appears like that to some - and to others they just sad.

I went to the funeral of a guy who was considered a B old S by his family - each one stood up and tried to think of something nice to say about him, it all came across as rather pathetic sounding.

I had spent many years of hours with this person, a very intelligent constructive inventive type who was frustrated by his lack of qualifications due to a difficult upbringing, and not being able to find his niche in life - and listening to his theories on why he was "hard" on his own sons and strict about their education - scholarly and life-style. If I could have given his eulogy no one would have recognised the person described!

I've had a friend of over 20 years who is totally misunderstood by her family like that.....
So I know what you mean.

But otherwise.....
don't forget there are also those who have been over-the-top bas8ards to some people but have never shown their bas8ard face to most and have got Brilliant Eulogies they didn't totally deserve. angel

But that's life, I guess.... wine

The part I always enjoy about someone dying is that they suddenly spoken of as though they were a Saint? ... When they were alive they were the Bastard of all Apes, and when they dead then everyone cries and says nice things.....!

The person I most admire is the one who actually spends all their kids inheritance enjoying themselves in their old age...... When most people are so in the habit of scrimping and scraping to leave everything to their kids. Money is only appreciated by those who work for it, is my opinion.

Now, Rusty, why do you let/allow Idiots to upset you? You far too intelligent to do that!

questions like this. but then i am old and tired tonight no sleep and it is time to rise. why would you want people to focus on their upsets. do you like upsets, dear?

what you focus on expands in your life. i would much rather forus another typo, focus focus on who or what was the best experience of your life, or anything but upsets. i will focus on who or what is or will be the best or hottest or coolest love affair of my life. dancing

if you harbor angry feelings it hurts you not them. so get over them fast. forgive them for your sake. is my boyfriend listening? i do have a boyfriend don't i sweetheartkiss

Could'nt disagree with you more on this one Smoky.

Money is appreciated most by those who have been trying to earn it all their lives, fail to do it because all sorts of adversities, and bad luck, and feel that they owe it to their children to leave them something, so that their children would not go through the same shitty life that their parents have had to go through. Seeing old farts spending all their children's money in old age is replusive and disgusting. It is money wasted on crippled half alive people who should do better than stay here, and go and meet the Risen Lord, if they can find Him. After all there is better than here, they tell us....and what's more. it's for free, or should that be free for all???
