SummerUK: Anyone have any advice for anything you 'must see' or 'must do' while visiting Malta? I'm going very soon and would Love to get some opinions from the folks in Malta

if you just let me know when you will be visiting I can suggest the best festas that you shall not miss.

then there is the Marsaxlokk market on Sunday mornings... its one of the biggest markets on the island, or the one in Birgu on Tuesday mornings... a must if you love bargains...

Marsaxlokk is very well known for the fish restaurants... so after a stroll at the market, a good lunch at one of its surrounding restaurants would be very nice... or if you go to Birgu Market, there is a lot of nice restaurants and cafeterias on the waterfront.

I swam three days on the trot - Wednesday, Thursday and friday...with two lovely ladies (one german and one a Slovakian); the German lady flew back to Germany yesterday and now I don't feel like swimming anymore! sigh

The Slovakian is 'ok', but she irritated me by always 'tagging along' - I enjoyed talking to the German lady..... we just instantly 'hit it off' as friends and the other lady was a bit of a 'gooseberry' - so, although she might like a chauffeur it isn't going to be me!

Yes I see it. Its the Hera... they organise cruises and parties on that boat. So where have you been to up to now besides the beach? Hope you have made your way to Valletta and do not forget Mdina.. cool
