Well I found this Free Singles Site .... and thought "Why not" - nothing ventured nothing gained .. who knows? And now I find I got all these friends, realy special people, each one different and unique. And also I have learned a lot from everyone here - I love the discussions, especially where people are open and honest. And the moral support all the members offer when someone has a problem. Nice to read all the different view points.

Ever since it has proven to be a battlefield, a roller-coaster of ups and downs, an addiction for about a month in which I put on more kilos than I care to say a cure for insomnia, and a pleasant, unexpected surprise.

I have made at least one new real-life friend that I really really like.

Met all sorts ON Connecting Singles - mostly decent people, but met quite a few now in real life via CS and they've all been great people (both men and women) - and mainly as friends.............. far too much emphasis is placed by some people on finding the perfect match via CS - you have as much chance of finding your soul-mate in a supermarket, but making and meeting friends is 'facilitated' via CS (in my opinion).

I think if you are relaxed and not 'desperate' you could well meet somebody fantastic via CS - I've been lucky enough to have met a few fantastic people!

well... I use CS to pass the time now... come in when I have time to enjoy the chats in the EU Forums, but CS means a lot to me... I have met a lot of good friends here, people who have helped me when I was at the lowest in my life. I also dating 2 people from CS... which I have to say both are wonderful guys... shame that I had to choose between them, but I am sure that I have done the right choice. And this was only possible with the advice of wonderful friends in here.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank CS for being here... it gave me the opportunity to meet that special person that I am sure will give me lots of love and happiness... and I would also like to take this opportunity to wish this guy a lovely birthday. Today he'll be 28 and I do wish that this will be the first of a long list of birthday celebrations together.

Probably not - it's just that I am cynical of searchingly sincere human questions.

I dont really expect to find a 'partner for life' here. But it is nevertheless very interesting, very filled with with expectation, very thrilling to be here on CS.

I hear people on the forum - it is interesting stuff; often questioning of one-self. The women are lovely though most seem to be more interested in honesty than sex!! I'm afraid the Socratean honesty they seek finished with Socrates. (Besides, he was very very gay - combined with his ugly appearance and his arrogance, most unpopular).

Why is it that women are never finished about requiring honesty in potential partners and men are all to willing to supply the honest bullshit. It is about emotions, friendships and sex, CS is. Doesn't any adult know that ' honesty' has practically no role in adult relationships?

Hey, let's get real. We are humans and our urges defeat our minds - always. We admire purity because we can't practise it. We admire so many things beyond human attainment that it is not surprising that we canonise some when our collective cups runneth over. Spending the rest of one's life is a retirement dream with slippers being fetched and meals being served. The greatest thing in life is the sheer number of special people one has met and fallen for..one way or another. Life is just too bountiful and humans are exactly endowed for taking in bounty. Our genes do not dictate monogamy. Nor should it.

but most of the time, CS is like a relationship.......

...what you put in, and what you reflect, is pretty much what you get out and receive......
