I'd choose...... damn they're dead... but there are two people I would talk to for four hours.

1 Frida Khalo
2 - Salvador Dali

why? because they're very unique, not just because of their art but because of their views on life
Maybe invite Bruno Bruni since he is about as "Dali-esque" as one can be,without being Salvador Dali.wave

I think I'll dine with Jean Aitchison today. She's the author of The Articulate Mammal, a really interesting linguistics book. Then I'm popping down the pub for a pint of Smith's with Desmond Morris, world reknown zoologist and author of The Naked Ape.

that is so true. wave

the drive that made some people famous also stopped them from having 'normal' relations. Don't thinks it's true of my choice but dali yeah, difficult. When I'm done in the pub, I'm taking a time machine back to Sofia Loren's youth. She could be as difficult as she wanted I'd still treat her to some past and spumanti.

If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less but to dream more, to dream all the time - Proust.

Where would we be without our dreams?
So what if they don,t come true,
They are good company when you are alone,
My father used to sing a song years ago...........
"Dreams are good friends when you're lonely"
Very true wordshappy place

i felt bad about my reply and tried to find this thread again to apologize and finally did. i am so sorry i jumped all over you mr. wedward. hopefully it is not me. i have been not smoking for around two weeks now. i am taking zyban and the nicotine cravings are not too bad. but on the downside i have had rage and things like this. it seems to be getting easier.

one day i sat in my car and was mad at the garbage men and truck and got stopped at the train crossing next to them. i turned my music up loud and yelled and screamed at them obscenties and more but then they don't speak english so i felt free to go off on them. they stood out and looked at me. crazy lady i am sure they thought.

i have even had disagreements with the one i was talking about having dinner with earlier and that would kill me if i hadn't been forgiven for those. please forgive me. i will try more reading instead of posting.

i think that was a very good topic. and there is surely no one in the world dead or alive i would like to have dinner with other than my current darling. kisses sweetheart
