I went to see the Indiana Jones film today, I won’t comment on the film but on the people who went to see the film…
There were scenes were people got hurt, bled and died or where blown out of where they were and nobody minded that (not even me,) but when a huge machine that destroyed a forest came up on screen, ravishing the greenery and destroying everything in its way because “it had to get to point B” I heard a general,
“oh, no! Not the forest!” from the people watching the film and I was included in that lot.
Well… look at that…. Marketing and making people aware of our environment has finally had its effect on people… “we care” about the environment and get upset if we see it destroyed mindlessly, even if it’s in a film.
Now… the question is…. Are we no longer affected when we see people dying? Hurting? In pain? Has environment taken over people?
What do you think? Are we immune to human suffering?
