why do somepeople change their name on their profil is it to avoid detection or they want a change or to escape a person they have been leading up the garden path? and why oh why be faceless how on earth can you hope to attract a person of the oppisite sex with no pics for them to form with your profile a picture of you should all old names be included on ones profile and should one have to show a picture in their profile if not in public? what is to hide we all seek freindship and partners so i believe all should be equal and honest---- or maybe some are not?professor cool devil handshake

Its called CHOICE/PERSONAL FREEDOM.... whatever their reasons are, tis no use pissing them off.... when they ready to post a photo they will, if they want to. Those who feel fine about communicating with a faceless person, well, its their choice, and their risk.

I know that when I first joined here, I didn`t bother with a photo, and I never ever got any communications from anyone. Put a photo, and it was like Hey Presto!

So, Wedy, do not trouble the threads with this subject - nothing will induce a person to put their face, until they are ready to.cheers Just enjoy the ones you can see!

On this subject - I know that in the past even You have forgiven/accepted certain people who were Faceless!... because they communicated very well in their writings.

Why should a face make any difference? Some people are just shy to put a photo in their profile. If a person communicates well with you, and is sweet and honest, what difference does a pic make?

I have met my boyfriend through CS, his profile had no picture but we got on very well via emails and after a while we started dating. Obviously I was a bit wary when we met for the first time, but then, we got on well as much as we got on CS and we are still dating after 2 months... and we're serious!

--- you misunderstand !!!!!all the threads i start are not to hurt or injure but to promote discussion its a question i posed and could not answere totaly so i put it in the public thread to see peoples reaction so please see it from that angle and not in a negative waycool professor drinking wine

Nein, I did not misunderstand you ..... just voiced my opinion. No offence to you was meant.... just trying to see things from the others side of the fence, so to speak. Every now and again this subject comes up ...... and I see from Maruska and Marti .. there are personal reasons for Pro/Anti. No stress fellow - just relax and enjoy ..... cheers Oh sorry .... it`s Rioja time ...wine
