Elvis was someone I came to love later on in life, after he died really. Love his sun recordings, the best. Have you seen the film ? Radders it is good. Also see Ray Charles movie, excellent.thumbs up thumbs up

The Site didn't specify when the PIC was taken.
I just thought I'd post it.
Such a contrast compared to Pictures taken a Decade later.conversing wave

Yes! That is how I remember Elvis. Such a pity most publicity (and look-alikes) seem to dwell on his last days images!

Strange how the look-alikes never can emulate HIM without the Las-Vegas Suit?

Oh yes, Of Course! ...... Watching the Negro Gospel singers on UTube, from that era when Elvis was young one can recognise his style!

It was not Infra-dig for Whites to appreciate Black Gospel or Blues singers in those days .... but when this White boy appeared, twirling his hips and copying their style .. the world went crazy. He was just the first White boy to do Black music!

I love his gospel singing!

(And you know what?.........my youngest son looks SO much like him! .... can even sing like him too!... and he loves his Mama just like Elvis loved his Mama!)..... Here`s to Gladys...cheers

I just asked my eldest son Does he remember Elvis`s death announcement .....? and he said "Yes, I was 4, I was watching TV when they told us, and I shouted to you .....you were changing my little brothers nappy. Gee, have we been without HIM for 31 years?"

PS. Even my grandchildren of 7 and 11 "know and remember" Elvis, and love his music and songs!
