I want the man to be the man in the relationship. It's not just about tradition or typical gender roles. It's about wanting a man who is confident enough to take the risk and make the first move.....shamrock

Cause that way you never ever have to suffer rejection. Well some of us men have very fragile egos and in a modern world I cannot see why you should retain the exclusive power to attract and reject at will.

For many decades you have successfully lobbied for equal rights and although there are still a great many inequalities re womens rights it is grossly unfair not to extend the hand of equality in our direction a little. Or is it really the case, as I have stated above, that you only want equal rights to the good things in life. The sad fact of the matter is that lots of progressive women want to hold on to their female power base whilst making inroads into the male one.sticking out tongue

yes... I agree with you

but at the same time I don't see why I shouldn't ask a man out..

perhaps he's not brave enough to ask me out? what would be the use of such a man I wonder? I don't think it's a matter of bravery for them... but I don't know what the matter is eitherrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I would ask a man out if I wanted to, that's a definite. and then I would see

There are some social codes, you like it or not, and if in a certain situation a man asks a woman out, or her phone number, or whether there’ll be next time they can chat, it’s a sign that he’s interested in her.

If he doesn’t do that, it’s already a rejection, and why then would she ask him out? Just to get a "no" confirm the obvious?

And sorry, but there is no such a thing as a "shy guy"

Hoiya to all the hommies out there wave

Dragon girl, that's a very pretty pic thumbs up i luuuuurv it smitten

As for the question at hand, it is much too complicated as many things could enter into the equation (such as: what kind of a person are you and what kind of a person are you looking for... and many more),
but in general,
my man Elley here's got me covered handshake cheers
