Ya mean to tell me .... I been torturing my poor Yuccas by keeping them in the house? and they just wanna be outdoors?!

I got this one enormous one - and it now lives in the guest toilet ... being the only room in summer with enough light! And in winter I got to rescue it from the heat of the house oven..... lugging big pot and 2m high yucca up and down staircases!!!! and I only need to plant it outside?frustrated grin

Thanks for the education (Herr Professor!) .... On my bike ride around the village today I did notice the Yuccas growing outdoors! I think I got some exotic variety .... not this type?

I always feel sorry for plants in pots ... its like they little prisoners and dependent on who "owns" them for their food and their life! To defend myself I have to say that I inherited these poor little exotic species and so I have to maintain them ... which is actually a pain in the A.

I think it is the

Yucca filamentosa varieties that are the hardy ones.
The Hauenstein Garden Center probably has some more INFO on that.
Seems the ones I see around here are of that Variety.wave
