Barcelona is a great city....one of my favourites.Notice I say CITY. Hiring a car would be a waste of time, money and energy (both you and the fuel!)

The metro is superb also buses and local trains.

Maybe hire a car for one day only to visit Montserrat. I toured Europe for three years constantly in my last camper car and that is one place I returned to a few times.Extraordinary.

But then there are buses to there and you can have a loooong Spanish lunch and delegate the driving to someone else! drinking

Looking forward to September dancing

Nightbuses run til 3/4 am.Metro stops around 1am.

Taxis are plentiful and cheap.

If your hotel is near the centre you can walk to the action!

The Marina is at the bottom end of the Ramblas.THE place to be.You can sit there all day and all night and never be bored.Amazing street.Checkout YouTube for the living statues................

And don´t forget your camera cool
