For me, whether a woman has a child or not wouldn't be an issue and I would imagine this is generally the case. But I also think it depends very much on each individual situation. Sometimes a child can feel threatened and resentful of a 3rd person's presence, especially if the child has already lost one of his or her parents or if the child is just unused to sharing his or her parent's affection.
