About me:

I want you to know what you are getting into up front so where do I begin this epic saga?

A little about me is in order I guess. I was adopted at an early age and have never experienced anything except conditional love from my adoptive family. I'm not whining, it has made me a very strong independent person who clearly recognizes and appreciates the difference between the two. I have no family except my 4 year old daughter and I am raising her alone. I have coached football, wrestling, track baseball and basketball at the secondary school level as well as taught math. I hold a curent Oklahoma teaching certificate. I have roughnecked and roustabouted in the oil fields, played music professionaly, ranched, owned and operated an electronic shop, sold mobile homes, cars, property, casualty and life insurance(you know it's going to be a bad Monday when you see your company on 60 Minutes Sunday night...LOL) I rode a Harley Davidson for over 20 years and built as many. As of late, I have been employed as an autobody tech/painter. I was laid off due to business slowdown in early November and have been drawing unemployment. I welcome more free time, I have been giving my daughter a head start on her education. I had a chance to audition with a touring band and turned it down remembering being on the road when I did it professionally. I don't think it is a good time to be on the road. I think our economy is going to get a lot worse, to the point it shakes our society to its very roots. That seems to me to be a situation in which one would not want to be alone, although I have mentally prepared myself for that. I would rather be alone than to be yoked with a person not smart enough to understand what is happening, what may happen and take measures to lessen the personal impact of future events. I'm not all gloom and doom, in fact I'm very positive. Plus I'm cute and sexy. LOL

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals, or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty, even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life, from God's presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours or mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes"! It doesn't interest me where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children, for another. It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
