About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

I'm caring, easy going and very approachable (but I photograph really badly!!). Don't like arguing or being in a mood so i'm not one of those mean and moody guys who you'll have to tiptoe around (and for those girls who like that type of guy - why?!). I like meeting people and learning about them, their interests, lives, experiences etc. I'm a good listener - speak to total strangers if I see someone looking sad on the train! True friends are hard to find - so I look after mine well and are important to me. When I set my mind to achieve something, I usually do and not give up unless I have no alternative. I don't shy away from dealing with life's difficulties and support friends who go through pain themselves. I don't take myself too seriously, now and then a little eccentric at times even (but in a good way, goes with being a teacher I think!). Love to laugh so into most forms of comedy, in particular intelligent/topical comedy. Have a strong sense of humour, can be dry at times but is mostly cheeky/playful. Friends often tell me I'm funny (I think they mean it in a nice way!). Love movies, shows, quieter pubs etc but never been a club person. Also enjoy a quiet night in watching a DVD or chatting with good company too. Adventurous and like trying new things. Into amateur photography but not too seriously. Enjoy travelling and love weekends away etc. No way a chef but do enjoy cooking, friends say I do a good casserole! I refuse to live off microwave tray meals anyhow! After spending 11 months learning to drive I've just passed my test (2 Dec 06) on the 2nd go, hoorah... never want to use a bus again! They say you can tell a lot about someone from what car they drive, erm, well I've just bought a smart fortwo so think of that what you will! :-) Although I live in Manchester, I love Malta and its people (have close friends there) so am planning to move there in the near future, must get out of this cold and rain!

I'm looking for:

Looking for someone to care about, have fun and share my life with; who is looking for a relationship with a gentle, kind and decent guy and won't mess me around, is a non smoker (or a light smoker willing to quit!) and doesn't already have children. Hopefully she could accept me for who I am and make me laugh (or at least laugh with me!), a sense of humour and a nice smile mean a lot to me. Size secondary to personality - but I do prefer the curvy type! She (like me) should be easy going, affectionate, caring, sincere, not possessive or aggressive (so bunny boilers or plate chuckers need not apply lol!), tactile and be as special to me as I would be to her (oh, and she would absolutely love hugs and cuddles - very important!!).
