About me:: In my next life I’ll be a world traveller extraordinair or a whale. I must have been a gypsy in the previous one. Boredom could be the death of me. What I need above all – maybe even more than love is stimuli.
Most loved book ever read – ( 3 times so far), was Moby Dick. Best movie; (seen on tv at home – English subtitles), Babbette’s feast.
Music is definitely my no 1 transport, from Kwaito, (local Black township disco music), right through to Bruchner’s Symphony no 8 as played by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Gunther Vant shortly before his death in 2000?
Rock, Jazz, World, Classics, Opera, Classical Indian music, Blues, some Country, anything, and even some Pop makes my world turn. I can have fun, let my hair down sometimes and kick over trash cans but the people in my small circle think I’m weird (even my 3 teenagers think so too)
I am Lucy, her of Peanuts fame, and sometimes Lisa, her of The Simpsons fame. In no way at all am I an Academic. I’ve read a few brilliant minds, seen a few fantastic movies.
