About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

I am tall, long blond hair, and blue eyes. If you're looking for a petite, small, life-of-the-party type, it isn't me. I tend to be more of an observer in large groups but can be quite animated with friends and loved ones. Friends describe me as “captivating, engaging, worldly, intellectual, never boring, a great travel partner, and have a good sense of self”. (Wow, what great friends!)

What is important to me? Simply joy and peace. I want to see the joy in life and to feel peace in my soul everyday. My home is important to me and my career is important to me – I need the security of both.

And here comes the paradox, I am a typical Sagittarius. I'm a wanderer, a traveler, an adventurer, an explorer. I am curious about everything. I want to know how things fit together. I get bored easily. I get what I call “itchy feet” where I just have to go somewhere. I want to see what's around the next corner whether it's here in Denver, the state of Colorado, the states, or around the world.

Where do I begin to list what I have a passion about or what gives me joy? The easiest is what is sitting at my feet as I write. I love my animals. I have two dogs and two cats. They are my constant companions (at least the dogs are). Of course, travel is high on the list along with learning the language, the culture, and the history of the places I visit. I'm an avid reader of everything. I putter around the house with do-it-yourself type of projects. I am an herbal gardener and a cook. I love to dance. I have been on a spiritual path (not religious) for the last couple of years. I also have spent a fair amount of time outdoors. I like to fish, hike, camp, collect rocks, and just sit around campfires. Around town I enjoy going to a movie, play, opera, museum, concert, or night out dancing. I enjoy trying different restaurants and enjoy trying new foods.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I like a little bit of everything.
