About me:

I am a pretty down-to-earth girl. I appreciate the simple things in life and am grateful for all that I have. I have traveled a bit of the world and A LOT of this country (move #21 for me this summer) and would love to do more (but possibly less moving in my future! ). I have an adventurous spirit that wars with my alter ego--the home body. I am just as happy staying home and watching tv or reading a book as I am going out and spending money.

In the past, I have been too focused on career or school, but no time like the present to learn to time manage LIFE. Moved to Indiana a few years ago, and HATED the job. Ended up quitting, then the economy took a nosedive. OUCH! Been living off the sale of my house for over 2 years now--I am VERY frugal Not too worried about it all tho...I have skills and education and am confident I will find my next career soon. Moved to Arizona to be near my folks this summer and make life easier on myself while looking for a job I LIKE, not one just for the money. Likely going into social work and possibly after my master's if not working by Dec.

Growing up, all my friends were mormon, so I have been told that explains a lot about me--LOL. Take from that what you will. Seriously, I am just an old fashioned girl with a few liberal ideas sprinkled in. I don't smoke, or do drugs and don't wish to be around those that do. I don't really drink because I just don't like the taste or the headache.

I like to spend time with my 2 dogs and cat, work around the house, watch movies, read books, sing and go shopping/antiquing when I feel I can spend the money. I am a real 'girly' girl, but I grew up in the mountains so I do like to get out and appreciate nature--as long it is not HOT AS HADES outside! LOL

I'm looking for:

Someone with a sense of social purpose; ie. knows how to give back to society once in a while through works or donations.

Someone who likes animals--I am a package deal! lol

Someone who wants kids, or has kids already, and probably is not opposed to foster-parenting---a long time dream of mine.

Someone who appreciates my sarcastic humor and can also make me laugh. Someone who isn't old enough to be my father, or young enough to make me feel like a spinster. I believe in being friends first and seeing what happens, but I am definitely marriage minded--just not willing to rush into it with the wrong person or put that kind of pressure on what could just be a great friendship. As I just moved here, I am looking to make some friends who can give me more excuses to get out of the house and to show me the cool/interesting places to go.
