How about a future description? Hi, I'm an American ex-pat who chose to retire and live in Costa Rica. I seek a simple life that's filled with quiet wonderment.
Good conversation with good friends over good coffee would be a welcome refrain any time of day.
I'd like to take-on a more passive role (can "take-on" and "passive" be used in the same sentence?) in life, wherein I'd bear witness to nature's wonders, mankind's creations and escape the furor and intensity of modern life.

I tend to be very cerebral but that shouldn't be confused with being particularly intelligent. I live too much in my head but am also very sensual (you know: of the senses) and sensitive. It shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that I'm a little high maintenance, emotionally. I don't really require any outside maintenance because I'm perfectly willing and capable of taking care of my own emotional shortcomings; it's simply important to address the issue up-front.
I love to dance but I dance "dirty". Some women have a problem with that but in my estimation, that's what dancing is all about. I don't dance Latin but I'd love to learn to do so.
I love laughter and I'm usually the one who brings it. I tend toward the risque' but I'm actually pretty staid. My contradictions of character are, I hope, pretty normal.
I'm a Scorpio and while I don't believe in Astrology, there are certain inescapable traits that seem to correspond to one's birth sign. I'm intense as would be expected of being a Scorpio. I love deeply and completely but...well, read-up on Scorpio's loving qualities.
I'd like to think that my not-so-great qualities are outweighed by my desirable qualities but only you can determine that.

I'm looking for:

Intellect and an ability to develop an opinion are really desirable traits. Having a personal philosophy of life is pretty hot. The ability to arrive at a point of view that isn't too influenced by another's opinion will result in a trip to the dance floor and other primal activity.
You don't need too much validation because you know and are comfortable with who you are.
You don't have after-market breasts and have never considered having them (if their owner is so shallow and deceptive as to have them, she's not at all who I'm looking for).
If you're in the midst of examining your "unexamined life", have turned toward introspection and ache for the impoverished, we have much in common.
