About me:

Life's too short. Life is what you make it. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. All cliches. And there's a lot of them on dating sites, like "Looking for my soul mate". But don't all cliches contain a grain of truth? We're all looking for some form of love. To me, it means having someone who loves me for myself, just the way I am. I am honest, forthright, affectionate, and teasing. Low maintenance, unpretentious, comfortable in any social setting. A petite, curvy woman, red haired, green eyed, who takes pride in her appearance. Not fanatical about living a healthier lifestyle, I try to eat good food and get daily exercise. I enjoy walking, hiking, bowling and I'd like to try canoeing and cross country skiing too. Golf is a challenge, I haven't played much in the past. If you play, maybe you could coach me?


Good conversation, an interesting book, most music (except rap, hip hop and country), a beautiful work of art - these things I enjoy. I strongly believe in free speech and personal responsibility, and am impatient with political correctness.


My son and daughter both live in Ontario, but we remain close. The furry kids, a black Lab and a German Shepherd, are important in my life. Dog psychology and training are especially interesting to me. Physical affection is like oxygen - ya gotta have it! I love to hold hands, kiss, hug and cuddle.

Of course we all have our own interests, opinions and ideas, but life is much more pleasurable when some are shared. Walking, hiking, drives to nowhere, home renovations, reading, going to flea markets and auctions are among my favourites. I prefer quiet evenings at home to partying or bar hopping, and I enjoy a nicely prepared meal in a good restaurant once in a while, as well as fun outings or evenings with friends. Cuddling up, watching a movie while sharing a big bowl of popcorn is fine too. One needn't spend a lot of money to have fun. Meeting, becoming friends and dating come first, obviously.
