About me:

Lived in the PA suburbs, outside of Philadelphia, most of my life. Now I'm resettling with my cats into rural WV, creating a home around us. I do miss having all sorts of restaurants within an easy traveling distance, as well as ethnic grocers, cheese shops, & the like. Still, the trade-offs found here are worth it: The scenery, the quiet, wildlife, friendly neighbors, etc.

A slow internet connection is one of the downsides! We've been promised DSL, however, in about 2 weeks from now (08/2709).

I'm searching for a non-smoker who'd prefer a picnic to an ATV. An animal lover rather than a hunter (please, I'm not judging anyone here). A compassionate spirit who respects the encompassing universe over someone indifferent to nature. Someone self-assured yet not arrogant. A person who recognizes that "truth" cannot be found, only approximated. A man who seeks an equal partner in all pursuits. If you are more like a gentle stream than the powerful ocean, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Ahh ... The image derives from a mirror. (No one around me snaps photos.) And, of course, it's not "the truth" of all that I am.

I'm looking for:

Someone with conversion, who seeks laughter, not slapstick. Who is capable of expression his feelings and thought with integrity. A person whose interests I can mesh with, seamlessly or not. My guy would believe that, while silence can be comfortable in a solid relationship, it's not appropriate for getting to know each other. In other words, a man who wouldn't expect me to keep the talk flowing with little to offer in return. Yes, I'm a talker, but it can be hard slogging when one is really attempting to get acquainted. Light chatter's good, and so is a metaphysical sharing at times.

I'm NOT searching for a gad-about, an enthusiast sportsman, but neither am I interested in someone addicted to watching sports or reality shows. And, sad to say, I dislike country music and rap. All in all, it's much easier to write about what my my search is NOT. I had a wonderful marriage, my husband died suddenly three years ago, and I find myself uncomfortably looking for a partner to share a common vision. Never wanted to be "dating" again, but here I am.
