About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

I'm especially interested in social sciences, anthropology, history, archeology and - my intellectual passion - languages and historical (comparative) linguistics. I also like psychology, biology, astronomy, philology, philosophy and I'm very interested in Eastern philosophy, mysticism and the history of religions. I love reading, mainly non-fiction. I'm also interested in politics and political theory. My political stance very liberal and inconformist, and I tend toward social ecology. I'm also in favor of animal rights, that's why I'm a vegetarian.

Other interests of mine are: - Hiking and camping. I prefer to walk in the mountains like a goat rather than lie on the beach, but I must confess that I enjoy snorkeling. - Being a traveller rather than a tourist. - My favorite TV shows are BBC documentaries, but I must confess like original, creative and funny stuff like The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy. I also love British humor. - Cinema: humor movies (Monthy Python...The Naked Gun...I guess I also like American absurd humor), historical, musicals, movies with real heroes (Schindler's List, Hotel Rwanda, Awakenings, A beautiful Mind, My Left Foot), intercultural movies (Dances with Wolves), etc.

- Music. My favorite music is Bossa Nova and Vinicius de Moraes music. I also like Celtic music, world folk music, Queen, classical and more.

I'm looking for:

A like-minded person with any similar interests or, at least, a person who doesn't get bored with intellectual people. Someone who I can be myself around. Someone to travel with and someone to see as much of the world with. Someone who wants to teach me things, learn things from me, and learn things together with me. A person with at least a basic knowledge and interest in the world outside her life. A person who enjoys learning and reading, who needs to learn new things...and grow. Someone with a sense of humor who can hold an intelligent conversation as easily as can laugh. A person who is interested in other cultures. Someone who is at least a bit interested in language and at least in another language different from her own.
