About me:: I am down to earth, a realist, but have some of the idealist and romantic inside. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, biking and working on home improvement projects, but will leave the hammer aside if there is a chance to go out. When I can, I watch movies, read, listen to music. I like, among other things, foreign films, Mark Knopfler, Bob Seger, Feist, Aimee Mann, Joan Baez, Linda Rondstadt, Norah Jones, and soft jazz. The most romantic activity: strolling arm in arm. My favorite motto: only the brave can be happy.

I am looking for someone who is, above all, comfortable in her skin; someone who is basically a happy person, and who has a pretty good idea of what she wants; someone who has a nice smile that says 'welcome home'; someone who is curious about the world. I am looking to share many activities, but not all (a couple shouldn't be glued to each other). For a relationship to be healthy and strong, each person must be independent, have their own space, and support and respect the other one. Not all good people are meant for each other, and sometimes, for whatever reason, things don't work out. I am not desperate for a certain type of relationship, and if things don't work out, it's not so terrible. At least we have learned something about each other and ourselves, and if possible, we can still be friends.
