About me:

People tell me they don't understand why someone hasn't snatched me up...they tell me they like to be around me because I'm quick-witted and funny; smart; warm-hearted; loving; giving; loyal...they just shake their heads and ask what's wrong with the men of this world??!!! I ask, "what's wrong with you guys??? Jeez!" I'm vertically challenged (short) and emotionally gifted (laugh with gusto and cry when you touch my heart). Picture a scandahovian Mrs. Santa Claus and you'll have a pretty good mental picture. Biology makes me a niteowl, but my job makes me claw my way out from under the covers at an ungodly hour during the week. Contrary to popular belief, there is only ONE 5 on the clock and that happens at the end of the workday! I have lots of 'acquaintances', but few close 'friends' - I will say this; my friends are friends for life and I value them more then words can express. My family means the world to me. They are my best friends and protectors so they'll be a big influence about anyone I invite into my life. Have been content being on my own for many years, but find it gets lonely at times. Being on my own hasn't kept me from living life, but I'd love to find someone to share a cup of coffee with, enjoy a movie (can we take turns between the Die Hard movies and an occasional chick flick?), a card game, share stories and good times with friends and family. I'm always game to try something once (well, let me qualify that...MOST things) - twice if I like it! I may not always initiate adventure and exploration, but love it once we're on our way : ) If you’d like to make a new friend, maybe more – write and we’ll see where it takes us.

I'm looking for:

3 things about the guys I’ve dated: 1) They were at least five years my senior – don't know why...just happened that way 2) They were at least 6' tall (after all...SOMEONE had to reach the top shelf!) Over time this item has become negotiable...but you'll want to bring your own ladder if you need one! 3) One thing that hasn’t changed and is absolutely NOT NEGOTIABLE!!! MUST have a terrific sense of humor! The child that lives within you is endearing...as long as you know when its time to put Jr. away and grow up. Hugs and giggles are just as important to me as quiet moments of sharing and understanding. I’m not searching for the ‘perfect man’ – heck, I have my share of lumps, bumps and warts too. That said, can you hold a conversation about things above and beyond sports, hunting, fishing, NASCAR and HOGS? Can you converse for an entire evening and not use profanity? You lost your temper YEARS ago and never went back to find it right? Family should be important to you – whether its aging parents and/or growing children – caring for and about them should be a high priority in your life. Bar scenes got old for you a long time ago and if you were ever a party ‘til you puked kinda guy – you put that behind you long ago as well. An inner belief and spirituality centers and guides you whether you practice your beliefs privately or publicly. Appearances are far less important to me then what’s in your heart and in your mind. I would be blessed to have a relationship that emulated even a fraction of the love, respect and honor my parents showered upon each other during their 52 years together. One final hint - if you can capture my mind, my heart will follow. Depending on what you are looking for in a relationship – that could be a good thing...or not?? ‘They’ say all the good guys are taken – the rest are pond scum…here’s hoping you can show ‘them’ they were wrong (and me too!!!)
