I am always smiling!

About me:: My friends would describe me as very honest and sociable, and I do not look or act anywhere near my age, very active and practical - very good sense of humour, and love to laugh with friends (and sometimes at myself!). Live in the countryside and care for animals - brought up on Dartmoor with dogs and used to horseride in my youth! Also played a lot of sport in the past, and still quite fit. Have travelled the world, but there is more to see.
Quite an independent lady, who can change a light bulb and a fuse, not adverse to digging the vegetable plot, pruning fruit trees and other practical tasks - but would love someone to hold the bottom of the ladder for me! Conversely, I enjoy dressing up for social occasions and visits to the races and places of historic interest . Like to socialise around the supper table with friends, good home cooking with local cider or nice wine.
I'm looking for:: Country-loving gentle man with traditional good manners, who is practical and has consideration for others, a sense of humour and touch of romance would be a bonus!
I recognise individuality in a person, and would not wish to change or smother a friend/partner; I would hope that we would be able to gain from each other's interests and personality.
