About me:

Looking to start dating again. I am 43 and live in Mt. Airy MD. I enjoy the outdoors and love every season. I like fishing, swimming, reading, laying in the sun, snowbording, softball, spending time with my son and his friends and walking my dog. (He is a black lab/sheppard mix and is 11 months old.)
I love teaching...making a difference in a kids life. I work with students that are autistic or have emotional disturbances, which mostly exhibit behavior problems that impact thier ability to learn in the geneal setting. I love to be active...but also enjoy down time. I read to relax. I have 2 kids, but it seems like more because my son's friends are always at our house. My son is 16 and my daughter is almost 20. I am not a late night person, occassionally I can stay up late, but during the school year since I get up at 5, I am usually asleep early. I am not as physically active during the school year as the summer, except for snowboarding season. Although I enjoy spending time with my son and his friends, he is also very independent which allows me time for myself. My daughter is almost 20 and does her own thing. Though she does live at home.

I'm looking for:

My ideal mathch...hmm. I would like to meet someone that is not afraid to try new things. It would be nice to meet someone that snowboards or skis or willing to learn. Someone that likes the outdoors..or at least doesn't hate it. (Don't get me wrong, I love my air conditioner.)Someone that is young at heart...likes to do things, but also enjoys being lazy together. I would prefer someone that doesn't smoke, but it wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker. Someone that does not do drugs and at the most is a light occassional drinker. Someone that has a good sense of humor, can be romantic and silly. Needs to be ok with kids. I love kids so someone with kids is a plus. Also someone that is easy-going, kind, considerate and caring. If your reading this, please keep in mind that it says ideal match and I don't think that an ideal person is out there...because ideal implies perfection and no one is perfect.
