About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

This is such an easy little phrase to say; 'Describe yourself.' Is it 'my' self? Did I create it? If so, how did I create it before I was me? If not, who/what did? Life and words are like that. We can talk ourselves into all kinds of corners, and as a species we regularly do. I want to find and live a way out of the entanglements we have built, to discover what can be.

I'm looking for:

I have had the honor of being with many wonderful women, yet 'it' has never worked out 'permanently'. The common thread in this is 'me'. That doesn't mean that I know what this means. Perhaps I'm not made for 'coupledom'. I'm gentle and non-violent (at least with women; I'm quite capable of energetic anger directed toward systems, machines or men who seek confrontation). Peace and harmony are my preferred states, but the universe is balanced between calm and storm and there are challenges to remaining in a place of serenity.

Never thought of myself as physically attractive, yet attractive women have found me so. Don't claim to be a great lover, but experienced women have expressed approval. Old enough to know better, young enough to try anyway. Not looking, but my eyes are open. Heart-on-sleeve is not me, but I walk into walls sometimes.

UPDATE: Perhaps even being on a site called Connecting Singles is no longer appropriate. A very lovely lady and I are deeply entwined and my presence here should only be interpreted as participitory out of interest in old friends and the general questions that come up.
