About me and who I'm looking for
About me:
I'd describe myself as a nice, intelligent, honest guy who's always good for a laugh and good, interesting conversation. I'm fairly liberal and am looking for the same. I've been a professional musician and music teacher. But, these days I'm an executive assistant for the owner of three companies that build NYC infrastructure and own and manage real estate. I'd like to find a way to combine business with music and/or my general creativity. I've been a juror for an indie film festival here and enjoy participating in the cinematic arts whenever possible. I like to keep fit and enjoy jogging in the park. I've never liked how I look when I'm faking a smile for a photo, so I usually just half-ass it. But, I do actually have nice teeth. That's what dentists always tell me, anyway. And, not just because they're trying to get into my pantaloons. Music is an integral part of my life. On my playlist at the moment: Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, John Coltrane, Radiohead, The Beatles, Webern, My Bloody Valentine, Ravi Shankar, The Cure, Jethro Tull, Queen...

Some of my favorite films, in no particular order: The Big Lebowski, Star Wars, Young Frankenstein, Barry Lyndon, Mulholland Drive, Clockwork Orange, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Happiness, Punch Drunk Love, Jackie Brown...

These days the books I read are mostly academic-type books about music, history, philosophy, politics and such.
