About me:

Kind, thoughtful, full of life, average - good looks, old fashioned values with a dash of cheek and modern outlook on life. 99% of the time i am happy and try not to sweat the small stuff. I am a single female with an adult son and have been out of the dating game for a long time. I work full time so my week is busy and relaxing at home is a welcome end to the day. But weekends and some evenings can be lonely, and going out to dinner or seeing a movie is not an option i want. I am looking for a friend, which hopefully might develope into something more. It might never go beyond the friendship stage but friends are always welcome. I like wine and all types of food and enjoy cooking. As regards TV, i would rather read but i enjoy a good movie, english humour, doco's and current affairs etc - definitely never watch soapies and i dont watch sport but dont mind if you do. When i get time i like to paint, work in my garden, visit markets, meet for lunch, day out in the country, trip to Brisbane - that sort of thing. Hope to do more travelling and am planning a trip to the UK and Asia in 2011. I am a femine woman, not a tomboy and regard myself as soft hearted but not a fool, loyal, honest and a person of integrity. Not into religion or politics but if i was to follow any teaching it would be Buddism. It would be nice to meet a soul mate but if that doesnt happen - well thats life i guess, at least i tried and one can do no more than that.

I'm looking for:

Prefer somebody taller than myself which should'nt be too hard. Not grossly overweight with a face full of white hair. Somebody that is relaxed and enjoys a few laughs, and a bit of fun, is a kind, honest and decent human being. Not into playing games and is genuine. A person that is open to suggestions i.e. travelling after retirement, making the most of the time we have left. You can be a couch potato some of the time but not 24/7 - people need to do things together even if its only the groceries!! I realise that finding somebody with the chemistry is very hard, so no stress or pressure at the first meeting, keep an open mind and see if we want to go further - if not no harm done.
