About me:

I want to get out and about with new people, doing fun things and going to interesting places. I'm looking for friendship and dating to start with, no pressure, no expectations, no desparation, just enjoying each other's company.

I'm into extreme sports, in particular hurtling down the side of mountains on pushbikes, (the correct number of bicycles to own is N+1 where N is the current number of bicycles you own). I like to listen to heavy metal and hard rock; AC/DC are my favourite band and Powerage has been my favourite album since I bought it at age nine. I love reading, my favourite authors are Stephen King and Iain Banks. I run my own website and dabble in technology in my spare time. I've got a great sense of humour but can be serious too. I like having meals out or cooking something good at home & enjoying it with someone special. I love live music and comedy, (I might even give stand up a go some day), and having good times on the town.

I work in IT, I like horror and sci-fi movies, but I don't have Aspergers as far as I know, [thought of something else to put on my list of 1000 reasons why Dr Who is better than Torchwood, need special pen & Star Trek notepad or can't write it]. I have tattoos and will get more, I'm also planning to start playing guitar again so if you like untalented inky musicians I'm perfect. Sometimes I say outrageous things just for shock value, I don't really believe we should reduce the prison population by cannibalism. Or do I? [insert Evil Smile]

I'm looking for:

Firstly a partner must be a friend and that is what I am looking for, people to meet and have fun with. They must be able to hold a conversation and to have enough life experience to be interesting, they will need a good sense of humour, be motivated and have goals in life. They absolutely have to be able to spell and use correct grammar or I won't be able to suppress my inner Grammar Nazi and will be forced to get my red pen out. I have kids and someone who is a parent themselves would make a good match as we could unite against the little terrors, (only joking, they're huge terrors!).

I believe relationships should be easy and fun, life is meant to be a laugh, I can laugh at myself and will occasionally laugh at you, or beside you. If you can laugh at yourself and laugh at me then we're off to a good start. I'm easygoing and open minded, I'm unprejudiced and I appreciate diversity.

For a long term relationship I am looking for someone who is independent and confident in themselves, who wants to be complete equals in a relationship built on mutual respect and friendship and not just physical attraction, but that is important too.

*NOTE* I am not looking for a long distance relationship, I've been there before, I don't want to do it again. I'm flattered that you want to share your parents stolen millions/trunks full of gold/untold wealth with me but I'm not interested. I am happy to chat & exchange emails but that's it.
