About me:: I have two children, 12 and 15. They live with me 10 days out of each fortnight and half the school holidays.

I realise that is a lot for any man to take on, so I am not looking for a relationship, or a romantic interest, or a sex partner (to be clear). If all of that happens, GREAT (FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, in fact), but I'm not desperately searching for it.

I do, however, love a conversation with an intelligent and interesting man, and would be happy to make a new friend. I am not looking for free meals, I would prefer to split the bill (unless you insist on buying very expensive champagne, that would be on you :-)
I'm looking for:: If you are also just looking to meet new people and make friends, then maybe we should get together. I have found that the meetings are easier when both parties don't have the pressure of knowing they are being assessed as the 'ideal partner'. If it's just 'friends' then there can be no hurt feelings, right? You meet, have coffee or a drink, laugh a little, say goodnight, and maybe get together again a few weeks later if it was pleasant.

Even if you are ultimately looking for long term, if that search is taking a long time, surely it would be nice to make some friends along the way?

At the very least it would save you from sitting at home alone every Saturday night
