About me: About me, huh? I have already figured out I could say I am 2’1”, PINK WITH PURPLE POLKA DOTS and it would not matter one bit on here as very few read these things. LOL Giving it a go anyways… My name is Ron and I am a 41 year old widower (since 1999), disabled veteran (finally forced to admit it year before last), and mostly average Christian guy. I have a dog (Rocky, a long haired Chihuahua). I am not unhappy or even lonely, but I really figured I would have a wife and 2.5 kids to go along with the dog and cat at this juncture in life! I haven’t given up (yes, this means I would love to share a child beginning to end but not a requirement!), but finding someone that still believes in honestly, faithfulness, commitment and forever even if it has to be worked for at times has proven tougher than I ever imagined. Years ago Michael Martin Murphy had it right when he sang about “What’s Forever For". If I have learned anything these days, it is that being a hopeless romantic and dating do not mesh. I may be wrong, but isn’t romance the physical manifestation of pouring your heart and soul into someone and having someone pour their heart and soul back into you? The candlelight dinner is pretty meaningless as it isn’t what you do but how you do it! Romance can be shared at any moment in any place! But then finding someone to let you love them has become rare and even rarer still is someone who will love in return. All I really want is someone to share with, both the good and the bad... Someone who will answer “How was your day?” with more than one word; someone who will hold my hand; someone who can see the world through their own eyes and not live by “because someone said so” or “they did it”; someone who can be as good a friend if not better than they are as a lover; someone who can accept agreeing to disagree without quitting; someone who can lay beside me on a blanket staring at the stars and share dreams no matter how stupid or improbable they may be…

UPDATE : I must apologize as it just didnt occur to me to include in my profile at the time more about my disability. While I am a handsome devil in my Wranglers, boots and hat, I also come equipped with a walker for my bad days. This isnt to say it slows me down all that much and I do enjoy going to the Rodeo and out 2-steppin, but I am only good for a dance or two every so often and I dont really drink for more than refreshment. As for distance... An hour or so is comfortable, anything more can get bothersome depending on weather and how fast I need to get there. I have NOT limited the distance on my profile as it is within the realm of possibility to move north into Tennessee or Kentucky, northwest into the Paducah and Cape Girardeau areas of Kentucky and Missouri, or west into Mississippi.
