About me: I'm a warm hearted guy who has been through a torrid few years. Like many of you i've been through the trauma of divorce and broken relationships which often leaves you wondering if you ever looked in the right direction in the first place...but mistakes are there to be made and we have all made them. I'm a former Musician (but still play classical guitar), and a published Author. I have co-written and produced a couple of CD's of some of my music (Ask me nicely for a copy). I have a young son who has slight learning/concentration difficulties but is very intelligent with his chosen interests. He lives with his mum and I see him every two weeks. In March 2003 I was diagnosed with Cancer and had to go through months of debilitating Radiotherapy treatment. I spent a lot of time in hospital and lost a lot of weight. I was engaged but had to give up work for a total of two years as recovery was depressingly slow. I'm Ok now but I don't think my relationship really got back to the way it should have been. We parted company in April 2007 as our souls had drifted apart. I took it quite hard and foolishly I drowned my sorrows and drove my car which I crashed into a fence and was arrested for Drink Driving. This of course has had an impact on everything I do. Having kicked myself relentlessly for being a fool, I am now moving forward. I am enjoying my social life again , albiet it in taxis for now. Although I'm apprehensive about jumping headlong into a new relationship, if I meet someone I click with then you can never say never. At the beginning of 2008 through to Easter I was working as a volunteer for the IVCS in Northern India. It was a fascinating and rewarding experience. I travelled thousands of miles by train around the country and visited many notable landmarks. I would hope to go again as soon as is possible and see more of India and possibly Nepal.
