About me:

Young 42, enjoy quiet times, my dog & cats, the great and beautiful outdoors. Continuing to expand my knowledge in as many areas as possible and trying to avoid chaos that can ruin my life. I know who I am and have no need or desire to be changed into something else. However, I do consider myself a work in progress. I don't need a Daddy, had one, I don't need a caregiver, I just need an equal partner that I can trust to have my back as would have theirs. Honesty and Humor are mandatory and respect and trust are given when earned. To be perfectly honest here, I have only had one relationship in my life, therefore I'm not well versed in how to begin one but I am a quick study. I guess I have "old time" values and morals that my parents instilled in me. I try to live and treat others as I wish to be treated and expect the same in return. I have found that my expectations sometimes turn out to be premeditated resentments but I'm working on that. If I see someone in trouble I'm the first one to stop and lend assistance or get someone with the skillset to the scene. I do have "baggage" from an abusive childhood but I think I've dealt with it over the years so that it only impacts me on rare occasions when I've let myself run down. Looking for that miracle man that probably only exists in my head. Someone that can hold a conversation, be honest, funny, and is not scared off when I go a bit crazy. Doesn't have to be in recovery but cannot drink or do drugs regularly, been there done that and I'm a grown up now. A good listener, who appreciates having dinner ready, shared massages, and someone who most importantly passes the test with my dog. Would like to find a man that is able to talk things through and is interested in being a friend first and foremost. If something develops in the future that would be great, but I believe a good friendship to start is paramount.
