About me: I could have sworn I was 25 just five minutes ago, but here I am in my forties, in the Highlands and starting to realise what 'super-sparcity' of the population really means - people in general,single men in particular are thin on the ground!
So lets give this a whirl. I love living in the Highlands, but think it would be even nicer if there was someone special to share it with, but I like the idea of taking the time to build a solid lasting relationship rather than leaping into something full speed. I have a small number of important friends, not all local, rather than a huge social circle. That suits me; crowds don't. I am much happier in small groups where everyone can appreciate my sparkling mind and rapier wit ;-)
I spend a lot of time reading, always have at least one book on the go, but I also go walking regularly, swim, play the odd game of badminton and go to the gym. I've also started running recently (to my own astonishment), so you never know I might even make the transition from ' extra pounds' to 'curvaceous', I'll still be me though :D
I'm looking for: This bit is odd, after all, how do you know until you meet them? But someone with the light in their eyes that tells me somebody's in.[points to anyone who can place the lyric] For me that would mean someone intelligent, though that needn't necessarily mean they have a lot of formal education, but doesn't exclude it either; it means somone who is interested in who I am and what I think, and wants to share the same about himself. Someone who can be confident in himself rather than arrogant, who can see the funny side of life, themselves and me!
