historywriter Writer seeks kindred spirit

About me:: I'm a writer on historical subjects living in a small village in Wales in an old stone Welsh house. A widower, aged 62 , with one son who has flown the nest and built one of his own.
I share my life with two small dogs and two imperious cats. As well as my work, I'm involved in village activites of many kinds, including being a local councillor, and organising the village "pub" quizzes, local history grou and gardening club.

I love books (collecting them is a bit of an addiction!) I enjoy music of most kinds, apart from rap and heavy rock,but especially early Baroque classical and "Celtic" music of all kinds. I enjoy moviees, the countryside, nature, walking and cooking. My weaknesses include strong coffee, occasional white wine, chocolate and sometimes talking a little too much.

An easy-going good tempered sort of person, if slightly untidy, and unconventional (in a nice kind of way:-))
I'm looking for:: Someone with similar, though not identical interests, Could be of any nationality. Preferably sensitive and artistic. I have a weakness for dark-haired ladies - though this doesn't mean that I rule out anyone else!:-) A sense of humour would be good, probably essential!
