About me:

If you're looking for an ordinary guy who goes off every weekday to earn all the money, then I'm not your man. I'm not an ordinary guy and I'm not good at earning lots of money. What I am good at is looking after the home – the kids, the house and the garden. I enjoy being with, looking after and helping children of all ages. I like cooking, keeping the house in order, and making improvements to the home. And I love gardening, especially growing fruit and vegetables. Nothing can compare with the taste of fresh food straight from the garden – it is one of the joys of life.

I also think it is important to give time to my children. I have two teenage boys (12 and 14), and they are wonderful – extremely creative, clever, and fun to be with. Since I separated from their mother they spend half the time with me. I love to be there for them when they are at home – helping with their many and varied projects, or their homework, or whatever.

I am English. My German is OK but not great: it is not yet good enough to have a normal conversation, so living in Germany is difficult for me. My sons are the reason I am here.

I have written a book about astronomy (my hobby), and some articles for an English magazine. At present I have a job working in a youth club. I actually have a degree in computer science and mathematics, but I was not happy working in an office, so I turned to gardening, home-making, writing, and working with kids.

I think I am a very easy-going, loving, caring sort of person, with a typical English sense of humour and a certain sense of adventure. I like music, especially classical music (I play the flute). I enjoy sports, such as cycling, walking, badminton, swimming, squash, football, rugby (anything active really!), and I love the outdoors. I read modern and classic novels, but also some more serious books about astronomy and general science, for instance. I love to watch a good film, especially a romantic comedy.

I'm looking for:

I have to say that I am more attracted to someone slim. And it would be ever so nice for me if you are fluent in English so that we can talk effortlessly about anything and have a good laugh together. Also, I would really like to have more children, if at all possible. If you also hope to live someday in a small house in the country with a bit of land that would be great!

However, I guess that the chance of finding a person who likes my profile and furthermore would be willing and able to move to an island in the Baltic Sea (however beautiful) is probably a million to one against; so, really, I can't afford to be too fussy, can I?
