About me and who I'm looking for

About me:: Let's start off by saying, I'm not interested in long distance. I've been told that I'm "limiting myself by doing this, that I have no sense of adventure and I come across as sounding selfish and self absorbed". If that's your take on it..then don't read any further. I feel no need to explain myself either. I get extremely turned off by guys who ask questions about my stretch marks or how did I ever manage natural childbirth or when was the last time I got laid. If any of that was any of anyones business..I'd tell you, but since its not, don't be crass enough to ask. Please and thank you. :)

That being said, I'm interested in meeting someone LOCAL (not Loco) :P . Start off with an email or four. Maybe lunch or out for a drink in a public place. NO expectations. Be yourself, don't try to impress me with tales of your friends exploits..we're either gonna click..or we're not. It's really that simple. I spend a lot of my free time on the computer. This does not mean that I like chatting or flirting with mindless themes and faces on yahoo chat. I don't. My interests computer wise lie elsewhere and I'm always looking for new things to do and learn. I cook for a living. I love my profession and I love cooking. That doesn't mean that the first thing I'm dieing to do for you is cook a 6 course meal. Yes, I have been asked to do this. :/

Children and I get along but my stint raising kids is over and finished. In fact, I'm a grandmother now and enjoying it very much. It still doesn't mean I'm willing to be anyone else's mother, being their friend however, could work out. If this profile scares you....good.

I'm looking for:: Someone mentally strong, kind and "honest".

A job is important. I don't care what you earn as long as you can pull your weight. I've got no problem sharing the tab, but don't expect me to do it all. :-)

Physical appearance is important. I'm not looking for a Greek god by any means, just as long as you keep yourself well groomed, in fairly decent shape and have motivation. Socializing is an important part of life for me. Someone who enjoys the company of family and friends and doesn't keep themselves shut off from the rest of the world.
