About me: I love to laugh: I love to make others laugh. I have a sense of humor and I also have a very serious side. I treat people as I wish to be treated. I'm a bit of an introvert. Shy at first, but I warm up easily. I'm a BBW...which stands for Big Beautiful Woman. If you have issues with that, save us both some time and stop reading now. I have a creative mind. I think outside the box. The people who know me best say I'm 'different' and 'complicated'. (I, however, think I'm an open book.) I love words, both written and spoken. I enjoy writing and reading and I love music.
I am the mother of a beautiful 14 1/2 year old daughter who has autism and severe to profound mental retardation. She does visit her father every other weekend and a night during the week. I have also been blessed in the last 2 years to have sitters to help me with her. This is my choice...as I don't wish to place her in a residential facility. Perhaps one day it might be be necessary. But it is my belief that if God saw fit to entrust me with the life of this child, he intends for me to raise her as long as I am able. I once had someone (a male friend) say to me: "You'll probably never remarry because no one will want to take on your daughter." Actually that possibility never entered my mind. I suspect if I find the right person that won't be a problem.
I'm looking for: I am looking for conversation, laughter, friendship...a connection with someone fun, caring and honest. ...a mental click. I seek an intelligent, literate, witty, compassionate friend... A movie watching buddy who, like me, takes life one day at the time.
