About me: You know how it is sometimes when you meet someone and are getting to know one another, the question comes up?: “By the way, how old are you?”. Yes, I know, it isn’t nice to ask a lady her age, but it happens to guys. I’ll tell them, and their response is, “heck I thought you’d be in your mid fifties!.” That’s how I feel, that’s how I act and, in my most humble opinion, that’s pretty much how I look. My parents lived well into their 90’s and were healthy and active. I’ve inherited their genes and unless I get hit by a bus, I expect to stay young for many years to come. My hobby is photography—keeps me feeling creative. Enjoy loading my camera gear in my Tahoe and driving the back roads looking for scenery to shoot. Old farm houses, barns, fish camps, docks, old boats and other subjects I might come across. Stuff with character. It’s relaxing. I see something interesting, I stop, take my time, and shoot a dozen different angles of the subject with different lenses and bring them back to my computer for processing. The only thing, depending on my mood, that is as relaxing is the beach.
Enjoy The History Channel, Discovery, National Geographic and documentaries. For fiction, I read selected best sellers. Thinking about buying a pop up camper (air conditioned, king beds, etc) for some relaxing travel. Enjoy the county, state and national parks and the campers you meet. Having trouble seeing my ankles so I’m fast walking two to four miles every day between Fred Howard Park and the beach. Can’t forget slow dancing to the 50’s/60’s classics.
How about you?
I'm looking for: She’ll have a nice smile, and eyes that show an interest in who I might be. If I make it past that, then I’m looking for personality, intelligence and a good sense of humor. Yeh, I know, that’s what everybody’s looking for. But some do have it!
What’s going on in your head, a sense of self worth and ‘what you see is what you get’ attitude are most important. I’d like you to be comfortable in your own skin. Baggage? We all have some. We’ll get it out in the open, clear the air and then forget it. If it’s not a tie breaker for either of us, fine. If it is, we move on while we’re still not vulnerable. Do you like slow dancing to 50’s music? Enjoy those long walks (here we go again), the beach, park, picnics, back road drives? Would you enjoy camping along a river or lake, beautiful scenery, a sense of adventure and new experiences? How do you feel about racing to the camper just as the sky explodes with an afternoon thunderstorm? Playing a board game, some cards or thinking up some naughty and very intimate activity while waiting for the storm to pass? And yes, that does include a king sized bed and air conditioning, and no you don’t have to chop wood! On those trips, the experience, the scenery, the adventure, evening fire and meeting like minded neighbors should sooth your soul. Whoever you are, we can’t make an informed judgment about someone from this site. But by investing in some emails and then some phone conversation we can narrow down whether we’d like to meet. Then an hour over coffee or drink should let us know whether we might enjoy each other’s company on a more regular basis.
