About me: In reference to my profile headline, I'm not one of those people. I moved to Maine five years ago, away from the land of the SUV and traffic. I am overly educated, tenacious, responsible and frequently irreverent. If I had to describe my self as a movie character, I would be Lara Croft. Even though I live in a rural area, I have urban tastes and style. I'm frank, hard working, ambitious and strong willed. I have two grown children who live elsewhere and one son still at home. He's developmentally delayed, severely handicapped and my full time job. (FYI, I find jokes about retards and idiots to be offensive.) I garden, cook, raise bantam chickens and work on my house. I've found life in Maine to be challenging, sometimes without much culture and totally sushi free, which is a disappointment. But I'm still hoping I will meet a partner who likes to work hard, play hard and enjoy life to the fullest.
I'm looking for: After being a CS member for 3+ years, I have little hope of finding someone to date online. I'm just here to keep in touch with old friends. I've been told I'm too old, have too much education and I'm too far away. If I offend any of the members who are presently on the forum with my opinions, I really don't give a damn.
