About me:

Hi, I'm John, a retired 59 year old aerospace professional. I'm 6 foot 1 inch tall, proportionate weight, brown hair , though with a touch of gray on the sides (which to be honest is starting to thin a little), and blue eyes. I'm intelligent, a great listener, and have a good sense of humor. I also consider myself to be very young at heart. Maybe someday I'll grow up, but, then again, maybe not.

I currently own a large home in a small town called Ramona, about 50 Km from downtown San Diego in the state of California, USA. In July 2006 I took an early retirement from a company where I had worked for a long number of years, fortunately with a good pension and savings that have left me very financially secure with a comfortable stable income. I now living very nicely, traveling around the United States and the rest of the world visiting new places, and with many more places that I want to see. Yes, life is good. I would however prefer to do this traveling with a special woman. Traveling as a single person can sometimes get a little lonely. I've visited several cities in China and am seriously considering living in Guilin or a similar Chinese city for around 6 months each year. I'm looking for:

I hope to find the woman who is the perfect partner for me to spend the rest of my life with (yes, I know, no one is truly perfect, especially me, but "PERFECT", just like BEAUTY, is in the eyes of the beholder). I would like to find a professional non-smoking woman who cares about her appearance and, is between about 5 foot 2 inch tall and 5 foot 10 inch, with proportionate weight. I'm partial to intelligent women and great smiles. You should like to travel to new places since I plan to continue to do a fair amount of traveling now that I am retired. The perfect "significant other" for me is one for which you never find yourself saying "she'd be perfect if only...". I believe you must accept people for what they are and not for what YOU think they should be and will try to change. At this point of my life I'm unlikely to experience significant changes in my personality, character, and likes/dislikes (which I think are pretty good as is), and I don't expect a special woman in my life to change just for me.
