About me and who I'm looking for

About me:: Hello - I am 5' 11.5" tall, with brown eyes, short dark blonde hair & of average build. I am a lady of contradictions really!!... I am quite a spiritual soul & quite a deep thinker, but at the same time, have a really silly sense of humour & love to laugh. I’m very much an outdoor person who loves the hills & all outdoor activities, but I have had M.E. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) & migraines for 11 years so I am now unable to do all those really physical activities. I can manage short walks of 20-80 mins sometimes, so now a days I have to think of other ways of having adventures, because, sadly, I do still have a really adventurous spirit! I am a country girl & am really interested in wildlife & natural history. I love the sea, beachcombing, visiting lighthouses, & boat trips. I also love theatre,exploring new places & ‘Garden Open Days’ I have quite a large garden & like to keep an eye on, and photograph what is visiting the bird table… red squirrels an’ all!! Fav Films: Amelié, Australia, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Walk The Line, Four Weddings, Hairspray & The Bucket List (don’t do horror or scary thrillers!).Fav TV/DVD: Northern Exposure, Sherlock Holmes, The Chris Isaak Show, Frasier, Due South, Top Gear (not for the cars..just cause it's hilarious!), Creature Comforts & Ice Road Truckers. Fav Music: Chris Isaak, Country, Soul, Blues, Swing, Katie Melua, Nora Jones .. all sorts really, just not the current Radio 1 stuff! The M.E. has left me very isolated socially, as I had to give up college, work, hill walking, cycling & dancing. I won’t lie to you…. I am pretty ill for quite a lot of the time, but at other times I am able to walk, drive & go out and about. When I was well, I spent over a decade travelling/working my way around the UK, so although I have friends dotted all over Britain, I don't have a close friend or know anyone in the small town where I now live.
I'm looking for:: My partner of 8 years recently left me (he needed a hill walking wife/partner & I just can’t do it anymore). I am pretty heartbroken, not only because of him leaving, but also because he's had to take my best friend with him.... my beautiful rescue boxer dog. I am not able to keep her as I wouldn’t be able to walk her every day... I am devastated :o(

At this point in time, I am not looking to launch myself straight into "dating". I would just like to make some genuine friends on here (male or female). My confidence has taken a huge blow, so you will forgive me if I just want to e-mail for a while before actually meeting up. If something else comes out of a friendship on here, then that would be wonderful! My dream is to someday, be married to my soulmate & my best friend, live in the countryside or by the sea & have a bouncy boxer doggie to play with on the beach!
