About me:

I love to travel and could spend at least half a year in Europe alone, if my work allowed. I dream of being financially independent and having the freedom to work from anywhere I wish--including Europe, yes. ;)

I usually have a few very close friends rather than oodles of acquaintances. I like people and enjoy getting to know the real person they are, so I tend to be very good one on one. I am not very spontaneous by nature, but am working on that. I love to have fun and go places to explore.

My romantic sensibilities are constantly at war with my practical, common-sensical outlook. Most of you guys will never dare touch the "Anne of Green Gables" series--I know my brothers wouldn't--but in any case, I am Anne...deep down inside. I have always loved to cook and bake; it's also the only way I know to show my brothers how much I care for them. By extension, this seems to apply to any guy. If I'm cooking for you, I care. ;) I even considered culinary school, but real life always gets in the way. I can be very loving and sweet and kind...but if pushed too far, I can become dangerous..I have a mind of my own, but am teachable. I am artistic by nature, though I probably will never reach my potential due to a lack of motivation. My free time is usually spent outdoors or reading a good book. I love exploring...whether it be my back yard or a metropolitan city or the Australian outback.. I have danced in the past (ballet) but have let it go for now due to a hectic work schedule and trying to run a side business.

My humour is very dry--think Mark Twain and you'll be right on.

For the first time in my life, I believe in soulmates. I believe that being men and women make us different enough in so many ways, that you could be a mirror image of me. That which interests me most likely interests you. We love doing the same sort of things, and we relate to life in many of the same ways. My best friends are another me, and we are kindred spirits. My guy is out there, and when we meet, it will be the same way--as if we had known each other all our lives. We will always have something we could talk about, but we will both enjoy the silence as much as the chatting. I will feel right at home with you, and you with me. There will be no question of whether or not we should be friends. :)
