About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

Married 20 years and now lived alone for 3. Children grown up and doing their own things. I guess I'm at a crossroads in my life, deciding which way to go and, whatever path I follow, I'd really like to find a partner who'd like to come along with me. There are things you get from having 'someone special' in your life to share it with that I have to say I miss: 'connectedness', 'belonging', mutual caring, love, intimacy and shared purpose. These things are important to me and I'd like to find them again, so that's why I'm on here. For me, most things in life are all the better for having someone to share them with.

Until last year I owned a business in partnership with my ex-wife, manufacturing and selling custom-built wardrobes. However, we could no longer work comfortably together and so I sold her my half of it. There are several things that I've considered doing next, but there are other aspects of my life I'd like to sort out first before deciding. Whatever I decide to do, it will need to be something I can really enjoy and I'd like an opportunity to make a positive difference to other people's lives.

I enjoy reading, motorcycles, music, travelling and cooking, being outdoors in the fresh air and especially around the sea and coastal places. I also like just chilling-out in good company with laughter and stimulating conversation. I'm polite, honest, loyal, caring and respectful and that's all I ask in return.
