About me:

I'm about ready to give up on this whole dating thing, buy 30 cats and take up whittling. Change my mind. I love to travel, I love words - reading, writing, not arthimetic. Math is bad. I have two pieces of advice: 1) don't take life too seriously - you'll never get out of it alive. 2)stories that animals can talk are untrue. If any animal tells you he can talk - he's lying.

I'm looking for someone who can be silly, and can handle a little good natured sarcasm. Someone who's a believer - in God, in love,in magic, in family, in life, ... In me. Someone who is Christian. Also, someone who won't hate me for liking cats or my little dogs. And just so you don't waste your time - I am looking for a serious relationship!
And, sorry guys, but no hunters or smokers for me. I'm not going to ask you to change, but I can't handle those, so...

I'm looking for:

I was thinking about "The List". The list of qualities you want in your life(and eternal) mate. There's lots o flittle things that would be fun. Do you enjoy small dogs as much as big? Can you see how awesome cats are? Can you sing along from Glenn Miller to Jeremy Camp to Metallica to Vanilla Ice (okay, just the one song)to Billy Joel? Do you love to read? Can you watch scary movies and hold me close when I get scared (or at least pretend to ;) Can you quote from any number of 80s movies - and know all the toy icons from that time? When you propose, will you sing "I think I Love You" in front of a bunch of people before getting down on one knee? Will you travel to exotic places with me and take silly pictures?
All of those things are fun, but they would just be bonus items. I narrowed my list down to five tings that I really need in a man.
1) He has a personal and ever evolving relationship with Jesus and the Father
2) He is excited and happy to fill a role as husband and father.
3) He may not be crazy about small pets - but he understands and accepts that I am. They're my "babies".
4) He has a sense of irony and can crack me up, and enjoys could natured teasing.
5) He makes me feel safe. Not just that he wouldn't hurt me, but that he wouldn't let anyone else hurt me.
And really, I think if he can fufill those first four requirements, he probably has what it takes to me feel safe and secure in his arms and at his side.
