About me: I love the outdoors, feeding the birds, traveling, animals of every type, family, friends, hiking, kayaking, tools, snowshoeing, cups of tea, reading, gardening, roller-blading and many different healing arts. Adventure is important as are quiet moments watching the sun setting. The forest and the ocean cultivate my dreams. I have a good sense of humor and so enjoy the laughter and playfulness of others. (squirt guns, water balloons?) Oh, no I have never gotten water into the house through the screen door, ever! Well maybe once or twice!!! (Not to worry, water just wipes right up!) I love poetry and am deeply romantic. I am interested in learning on many levels, seeing out-of-the-way places, holding hands with someone whose eyes sparkle with a passion for life that reflects my own. My cup is always half full, dark clouds can and do reveal their silver linings. I believe in the goodness of others. I am dedicated to speaking with kindness and compassion to all those who cross my path. I am a devoted friend and will always show up in times of joy or sorrow, many times before I'm called. Since we are all a combination of our strengths and frailties, I want a partnership that offers balance in both these things.
I'm looking for: I'm seeking a partner who wants to create a mutually exchanging relationship, giving and receiving loving thoughtfulness, strength and support, where dreams are remembered and encouraged. The man who will find me desirable will appreciate my strengths, tenderness, compassion, understanding, intuition, trust, love and passion. I believe love can be like lightening (powerful, unleashed, awe inspiring and magical) and the ocean (wild & untamed, caressingly gentle and with great depth). Intimacy is not always in touch, but can be at times in the comfort of companionship with tenderness and unspoken understanding. I ask that you are truthful...with me and with yourself...someone who trust comes easily to and who will speak from those silent thoughts deep within himself. I am longing to look into the eyes of a soul who is considerate, spontaneous in love, laughter and adventure, one who's deep compassion for all living things is evident in the way he leads his life and how he treats those he loves, likes, befriends and passes by.
I excercise nearly every day and set the intention of hiking well into my 90's! I love to walk and want a healthy partner to enjoy the beauty of what surrounds us each day. We have all weathered many emotional storms, felt the pain of heart woundings, and come to find more of ourselves in the darkness of these times. I am longing to share the gift of the present with a tender hearted man who has looked within himself, healed and grown from life's woundings and is ready to embrace and create something different than what has come before.
