About me:

Hi guys....I am an American woman who has been living in Canada over 30 years. I have been separated for 7 years now. We are both happier for it today and remain cordial with each other. I have been a chef of French cuisine for over 30 years and no longer practice it professionally, but do love to cook for family and friends. I love old fashioned cooking and make everything from scratch when I can. Yes, I even make homemade bread from an Acadian recipe that was used in lumber camps years ago.

At this time I am very into bbqing and smoking meats. My two children are grown and flown, so now it is time for Mommy to go out and experience life. So I am looking for a partner in crime lol

In all honesty,I have to say that I am a smoker. I will quit when I am ready. It is something that I think about often.

I love most kinds of music depending on my mood. Iwas raised with music in my life as my Mom was a singer and my brother could play any instrament and sing as well. At times I have been known to search out new restaurants and experience the flavors of the world. Most of the time I like to cook myself.

You will find I am a combination of old fashioned and modern woman. I live by my own set of ethics and accept others to live theirs as long as it doesnt bring something into my life that I dont want there.(drugs, alcoholism, pokermachine players)

Things that interest me: biking, swimming, volleyball, softball, reading, camping, vintage cars and motorcycles, and of course, cooking lol and gardening....love fresh vegetables, bottling, making jam and jellies. Like so many of you, I too value honesty, loyalty and long to meet someone who isnt afraid of the effort it takes to make a relationship work. Even friendship takes effort. Someone that I can share the good and bad times with. I was married for 30 years and know what it takes to sustain a good relationship.

I'm looking for:

I am just looking around...not sure what for...I guess out of curiosity for one, but maybe hoping to make a good friend to spend time with and do activities with. Not looking for one night stands. eg, fishermen lol

The reason I am here is because I find it is always much more fun to have a friend to adventure with. I have no intention to sit on my butt crocheting for the rest of my life. (yes I can crochet lol)
