About me:

Just some random thoughts "about me." If you think it's worth stepping through the doorway, you should at least be armed. I am quiet natured, I prefer listening to speaking and felines to canines. I'm interested in a plethora of things, some I may not even know of yet, and I'm not proficient in many of them. But at those I do now that keep life interesting, I'm really good. I'm not a big risk taker but the right man might change my mind. I'll always root for the Steelers no matter who they play, or how badly, and take much delight at another Bengals loss. I believe "Classic Rock" is an era, not a sound. I love my vinyl and will always be attached to the late 50s to late 90s. My fave fiction novels are "Simon's Soul," and "Aztec." And while not fiction nor a novel, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. I'll not part with my books. I adore the English language. Its both complicated and remarkable, but someday I would like to be able to mock someone in French having him or her walk away with a smile thinking "What a beautiful language." My son calls me "the grammar nazi." My fave color is clear - this way I still have the rainbow to appreciate. I don't believe in miracles or luck, but I do believe in fate and destiny. Sometimes I'm over-analytical, but it works better than paying a therapist. I'm a whiz at cryptograms, but cheat on crosswords. When I wake up in the morning, I'm reminded of a bad license photo, but given ten minutes, well, then a better license photo. We all have things we don't like about ourselves, but they won't matter to that one right friend. I come with "baggage," one son and more than one cat. If you can't accept them into your life as a part of being in mine opposed to just acknowledging their existence, then I don't need you. Don't judge by WHAT. Knowing a person for the how, why, and who shapes "the what" that "the we" could become. "Things" won't matter unless you both need them to. Call these random bits and pieces of info your fair warning.

I'm looking for:

I'd like to build a life with a man who's ego doesn't have its own zip code, but who's honesty, kindness, and sincerity could fill an ocean. One who lives to eat instead of eats to live because I rock in the kitchen. One who's not afraid to ask questions, taking the answers to heart, and trusting those answers will always be the truth. One who's first my best friend, then maybe later. . . is okay with limited intimacy, but understands that he must buy the cow because the milk will not be free.
