About me:

I’M THE GUY who wants you to have an amazing time wherever we adventure off to; who will dance with you in the moonlight; who wants to hear what you have to say, even if we disagree; who’s at ease in a suit taking you to a romantic restaurant or in boots hiking with you in the mountains; who’ll pull you close for random kisses; and who appreciates the little things you do that no one else notices. LOL). I’m a former business owner and manager now working on my Ph.D. and spend much of my time exploring hidden cultural-political power dynamics and working for religious freedom. Writing, photography, drawing, and indigenous art forms are passions of mine, though I can also lay a sidewalk, paint a house, and cook us a pretty mean lasagna (think romantic dinner on the beach, or elsewhere). I love roughhousing with my dog and enjoy weightlifting and travel (it’d be awesome to visit places like Marseille, Athens, and Rome). I’m an ordinary guy with a lot to offer for the right woman. I'm looking for:

Having some common interests and tastes is a great start. I enjoy most movie genres--anything that hits me visually, viscerally, or cranks my brain in a different direction (e.g. Saw, Changing Lanes, The Matrix, The Corpse Bride, What Dreams May Come, Changeling, etc.). Authors gracing my nightstand tend to be the likes of Stephen King, Jeffrey Eugenides, Carl Sagan, Maya Angelou, Frank McCourt, Dan Brown, and J.K. Rowling. Lewis Black, George Carlin, Chris Rock, The Simpsons, and South Park crack me up. I get down to tons of music (ten points if you can identify the reference in my username)--mostly stuff that’s smooth and hypnotic, but also artists like No Doubt, Eminem, Concrete Blonde, and Evanescence.

I’m searching for a woman who doesn’t have gills, feathers, scales, or webbed feet :o) My ideal match is a sharp, imaginative, and open-minded woman in Pittsburgh who has an opinion and isn't afraid to share it. I'd like you to have your stuff together, to have some sense of what you want and be going for it (if we hit it off, maybe we can get there together).
