About me: The best kiss is shared by two who know each other well enough to give and receive in the right spirit. It may take a moment, a week, or a year. We can get there if we're willing.
I'm open to just about any relationship: long-term, short-term, activity partner, friends or whatever. I'm not exclusively looking for the great love of my life (although that could happen, and would be true fulfillment). In real life, what I'm looking for is a real person to relate to, in some way that suits us both.
Some women say they want a man to be "respectful" and "treat her like a lady". It works both ways. The Golden Rule applies: treat others as you would like to be treated. A real, human woman is a joy forever and will always have my respect and admiration. Those persons who are in love with themselves can look elsewhere.
About me: I like to fish (catch and release) and make some of my own tackle. I read for relaxation and enjoyment. Other outdoor and indoor experiences are welcome. I'm willing to try new things. I'm happy to accommodate within reason. I don't like motorcycles, and I'm NOT into traveling the world.
The pictures are of myself in various phases, except that one is of a Civil War general with the same name as mine. He was not my ancestor but looks very much the way I did at the same age. Makes you wonder. Anther picture includes a rat. They can be wonderful pets and seem more like humans than any other animals. More on that later.
My ancestry, if you're interested: American mongrel; 5/8 Irish, 1/4 French, 1/8 English. A Canadian French ancestor (an ordinary soldier) died on the Plains of Abrahan in 1759 helping General Montcalm defend Quebec (unsuccessfully) against the English. A few years later, another ancestor signed the American Declaration of Independence from England. Most of my other ancestors were in Ireland at that time, stealing horses and cattle from the English. Do you see a pattern here?
I'm looking for: I'm looking for a woman to make my life complete or at least more interesting; one who can show me things I've been missing, and who will let me do the same for her. In life, I've accumulated a few quirks and crotchets. You've done the same. There's a challenge. But what else is life?
One absolute turn-off: if you smoke at all, anything, anytime, please pass me by.
I would like my friend/partner to be easy-going and reasonably accommodating when possible. I promise the same. If you want me to try your favorites, I'll consider it. Please be willing to consider putting up with mine. Maybe you can show me something I've been missing. Maybe I can do the same for you.
Things that turn me on in a woman are intelligence combined with the right outlook on life and a sense of humor. The usual female appearance enhancements are always welcome, although frontal development does not impress me one or the other.
Turn-offs include (but are not limited to) tattoos and piercings other than earrings. But there are no absolutes except for smoking. The indispensable is YOU, the person. I don't care if you drink or not, as long as it doesn't affect personality or behavior. If you like cats (or rats; see above), or other small animals, that would be good. I have an allergy problem with most dogs and don't get along with them well.
Above all, we need information and communication with each other. The more we know, the better will be our time together.
PI would like it best if you live in Wisconsin, nearby Minnesota or the UP of Michigan, but that's not an absolute. I can travel within reason, but don't want to travel very far.
Finally: If you have teenager(s) at home, please pass me by. Been there, done that (twice) and it does not work. Sorry.
